Fiber and fixed-wireless networks in San Francisco since 2010. Most of my work is in network operations and municipal partnerships.

Work

Monkeybrains · AS32329 · since 2010

An independent San Francisco ISP that builds and owns its own hybrid fiber and fixed-wireless network. I run network engineering and infrastructure: architecture and capacity planning across the core, transport, the optical plant and the fixed-wireless layer, the facilities underneath it, and the engineering team. I also handle a variety of agreements, including municipal, vendor, carrier, and property owner.

Fiber to Housing · SF Department of Technology

A city program that provides free internet to residents of affordable and supportive housing, run by the Department of Technology with the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development. It has connected over 24,000 units since 2018, across close to 200 locations. Monkeybrains is one of the ISP partners, and I lead our side of the partnership.

Tel-One Network Services · U-7327-C · since 2025

A competitive local carrier authorized by the CPUC, holding a San Francisco Utility Conditions Permit. It builds and operates fiber and fixed-wireless for multi-dwelling units, affordable housing, and schools. I'm a partner.

SF Article 52 · Oakland Municipal Code 8.66

Both cities give tenants the right to choose their ISP rather than take the one their landlord contracted with. Tel-One serves buildings under these rules.
